ANALEC Research Wise -Formula Builder
Introduction:
The Formula builder provides you an interface to build custom functions that can be used to retrieve information from the Research Wise system.
This will drop the function in the excel sheet retrieving real time data from the Research Wise system.
The Formula Builder will be launched from the ResearchWise tab in Excel
User can also go to the Home screen by click on the Home screen Icon.
The Favourites section contains all the functions that have been marked as a favorite by the user.
A user can search for any function through the search feature or go to any individual category (under sections on the left panel), look for a function and then click on the “Star Icon”.
By default, the Star Icon would be present in a light grey colour against each function (on top right corner as shown below) and clicking on it would change the colour of this icon to yellow and would get added in the Favourites list.
Similarly, if a user clicks on a favourite marked icon, then the colour of the icon should change back to grey and the function should get removed from the favourites list.
User can also change the default function name to friendly name so that the function can be easily identified.
Once the Default name is changed, click on the Tick mark to save the friendly name.
The Suggested functions section contains the functions suggested by Analec based on their usefulness in addressing the users frequent data needs. Incase you would like to add/remove a function to the suggested function list, please contact your administrator.
Below are the different sections available on the ResearchWise formula Builder.
A user can search for any function through the search feature or go to any individual category (under sections on the left panel) to find the required function.
